Anti-atherogenic Effect of Mulberry Leaf Tea in Atherogenic Index on Rats Dyslipidemia

چکیده

Dyslipidemia is a lipid metabolism disorder characterized by fraction changes in the blood, such as an increase total cholesterol, LDL, TG and decrease HDL, which strongly associated with atherosclerosis. Mulberry leaves ( Morus alba L. ) contain quercetin 1-deoxynojirimycin (DNJ), help to lower cardiometabolic risk reducing hyperlipidemia, oxidative stress The objective of this study was determine effect mulberry leaf tea L.) on atherogenic index (AI) Sprague Dawley rats dyslipidemia. This true experimental research randomized pre post-test control group design. A 30 male (SD) were randomly divided into five groups. Calculation AI value: log (TG/HDL-C). Statistical analysis that used paired t-test one-way ANOVA test. intervention dosage 36 mg/100 g BW/day (P1) 72 (P2) significantly reduced values. Simvastatin P2 groups showed there no difference values after intervention. Sehingga disimpulkan pemberian terbukti

Dietary and genetic probes of atherogenic dyslipidemia.

A goal of dietary management of cardiovascular disease risk in patients with obesity and metabolic syndrome is improvement in the atherogenic dyslipidemia comprising elevated triglyceride, reduced high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, and increased numbers of small, dense low-density lipoprotein (LDL) particles. Individuals with a genetically influenced trait characterized by a high propo...

The metabolic basis of atherogenic dyslipidemia.

Atherogenic dyslipidemia is one of the major components of the metabolic syndrome, a complex cluster of several risk factors within a single patient that according to the National Cholesterol Education Program (NCEP) Adult Treatment Panel III includes at least 3 of the following: large waist circumference, elevated triglyceride levels, low levels of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C),...

Atherogenic and anti-atherogenic factors in the human diet.

New atherosclerosis causative factors and preventive modalities have been identified. Atherogenic factors include lipid oxidation products, such as cholesterol oxidation products, malonaldehyde and other aldehydes; trans-fatty acids; some saturated fatty acids (lauric, myristic and possibly palmitic acids); and myristic acid plus cholesterol. Lipid oxidation products are well suited to induce a...

Atherogenic dyslipidemia and the metabolic syndrome.

INTRODUCTION High serum cholesterol has been known as being a main risk factor for coronary heart disease (CHD). A number of types of evidence support the cholesterol-CHD link, these include researches in laboratory animals, epidemiological studies, findings of premature CHD in genetic forms of hypercholesterolemia, laboratory investigations, and clinical trials of cholesterol-lowering therapy....

Atherogenic Index of Plasma, Castelli Risk Index and Atherogenic Coefficient- New Parameters in Assessing Cardiovascular Risk

Coronary artery disease is the epidemic of modern civilization in which dyslipidemia contributes significantly to its pathogenesis. We studied the significance of three important lipid ratios i.e. Atherogenic Index of Plasma (AIP) {(logTG)/HDLc}, Castelli’s Risk Index I & II (TC/HDLc and LDLc/HDLc respectively) and Atherogenic coefficient (AC) {(Non-HDLc)/HDLc} in predicting the risk of CAD. A ...
